Donald Trump Jr. and the actor Alec Baldwin, who’s most recently known for portraying Trump Jr.’s father on Saturday Night Live, have both scheduled political trips to Iowa within the next couple months, according to announcements made today.
On Twitter, King announced that Trump Jr. will be attending his annual Colonel Bud Day Pheasant Hunt, named after a Medal of Honor recipient from Sioux City, at Akron’s Hole ‘n the Wall Lodge at the end of October. (King followed up that tweet with one celebrating Christopher Columbus’ contributions to western civilization and a retweet of a mocking photo that apparently shows a Muslim TSA agent doing a security check at an airport.) Guests on past hunts have included Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

Later in the day, the Iowa Democratic Party announced that Baldwin will attend the party’s annual fall gala, which this year will be held Nov. 27 at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines. “It’ll be the greatest night of your lives, believe us,” a tagline for the event reads, mocking the president’s penchant for self-aggrandizing rhetoric.
