Bronwyn’s Council Preview, January 12, 2018: Saturday Goal-Setting Sessions

There are two special meetings of the Ames City Council coming up this Saturday, Jan. 13, and Saturday, Jan. 20, starting at 8 a.m. and lasting into the mid-afternoon.

The goal setting meetings are very influential, but it has been my experience that they are often overlooked, and rarely attended by the public.

The meetings will be facilitated by Donna Gilligan and will focus on getting to know each other, establishing systems for working together, and, most importantly, setting our goals for 2018. (It is also a time for us to pare away any old goals, or those we feel have fallen from priority status.)

What we spend our time on during 2018 will be guided heavily by the goals prioritized at these two sessions.

The meeting is at the Parks & Recreation activity room (1500 Gateway Hills Park Drive).
